Women’s U19 WFC 2022 unable to be played in New Zealand

Floorball New Zealand have advised the IFF that due to the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, especially in regards to international travellers, they are unable to host the Women’s U19 WFC in May 2022.

Floorball New Zealand held meetings with government agencies and Sport New Zealand but it could not be guaranteed that the travel restrictions, which currently include mandatory hotel quarantine, would be lifted for all participants in time for the event, which was scheduled to be held in Wellington, New Zealand, from 4th – 8th May 2022.

The IFF Competition Department is now in discussions with an alternative organiser and it is hoped that a proposal for the event will be ready for a decision by the IFF Central Board at their upcoming meeting on 13th – 14th November. More information will be published after that date.
