World pole vault record holder Renaud Lavillenie, who suffered a foot injury following his historic 6.16m clearance in Donetsk on 15 February, is not able to defend his IAAF World Indoor Championships title in Sopot this weekend but will nevertheless travel to the Polish city to be a spectator at the Championships.
Lavillenie will be available to meet all accredited media on Sunday 9 March from 12 noon in the Press Conference room at the Ergo Arena.
There will be limited opportunities for one-on-one interviews with Renaud. Those wishing to request an additional one-on-one interview should contact the IAAF by email no later than Saturday 8 March 10am. Please email laura@iaaf.org.
