New versions of World Archery Live, World Archery’s live scoring, results and data application, are now available via Android Play and the Apple App Store.

The updated apps include expanded athlete biographies, full records and results information and integration with Archery TV, World Archery’s successful YouTube channel, which boasts over 28 million lifetime views.

"World Archery is committed to making archery available to its millions of fans around the world through the latest in technology. Sport content is forever being consumed faster and more concisely by the younger generation of sports followers, and these new applications will ensure archery is always at their fingertips," said World Archery President Prof Dr Erdener.

The release of the new applications comes just in time for the season-ending 2015 Archery World Cup Final, being held in Mexico City on 24/25 October, where the top 32 athletes of the year compete for champion crowns and a prize fund totalling more than 140,000 CHF.

Archery’s premier international and annual circuit was launched in 2006 and has been a driver behind the evolution of the sport, both on and off the field.

It has attracted major sponsors in Kia Motors, Turkish Airlines, Longines, FILA and Sportoto, lead to TV coverage on Eurosport, SBS and other international and regional broadcasters, and raised the competitive level of international archery and its athletes.

The line-up at Mexico City 2015 includes Olympic Champion Ki Bo Bae and World Champion Kim Woojin, from Korea, and defending champions Sara Lopez and Brady Ellison, who has a chance to win an unprecedented and historical fourth title.

Prof Dr Erdener said: "Mexico City 2015 marks the 10th anniversary of the Archery World Cup Final. Over the last decade we’ve seen archery’s premier international tour go from strength to strength, providing a platform for the sport’s elite to perform in iconic venues around the world."

Previous Archery World Cup Finals have been held in front of the Eiffel Tower, by the Bosphorus in Istanbul, twice in the Olympic Capital of Lausanne, in Copenhagen’s Nyhavan Canal and next to Edinburgh Castle.

"We’ll now add the Zócalo, central City Square of the Mexican capital, to that list," Prof Dr Erdener added.
