The Foundation for Global Sports Development Pledges $270 Thousand in Paralympic, Youth Sports and Educational Grants

The Foundation for Global Sports Development (GSD) has pledged $220,000 in domestic grants to support nonprofit organizations dedicated to bettering the lives of underserved youth through sports and educational initiatives.

The Foundation for Global Sports Development (GSD) haspledged $220,000 in domestic grants to support nonprofit organizations dedicated to bettering the lives ofunderserved youth through sports and educational initiatives.

Additionally, as part of GSD’s ongoing support of theInternational Paralympic Committee (IPC), thefoundation has granted $50,000 to fund the IPC AGITOS Foundation’s efforts to advance the development ofPara sport and coaching in Africa, Asia and the Americas.

For over two decades, GSD has provided financial support and guidance to organizations and athletes making adifference in communities around the world. In addition to their own youth based programming, GSDrepeatedly provides grants to nonprofits as part of their ongoing mission to deliver and support initiatives thatpromote fair play, education, and the physical and developmental benefits of sports for youth around the world.

"The greatest sense of encouragement comes from learning about the successes and positive results theprograms we support have on the deserving youth, athletes and communities who depend on them," said GSDexecutive board member, Dr. Steven Ungerleider.

"We are committed to aiding these organizations as they ensure the sustainability of the programs that haveevolved into integral pieces of the neighborhoods they serve," added David Ulich, executive board member ofGSD.
