(ATR) British fans of Paralympic sport can now purchase their Rio 2016 tickets.
Authorized ticket reseller Travel Places opened sales for 2016 Paralympic tickets on Oct. 23.Fans are now able to purchase Paralympic tickets, along with flights to Brazil and accommodation packages during the Games.
"It’s incredibly exciting that supporters of the team can now start making their travel plans to Rio for the Paralympic Games next year," Penny Briscoe, ParalympicsGB Chef de Mission for Rio 2016 said in a statement.
"It promises to be an exciting festival of sport and I’m sure it will prove to be an unforgettable event for athletes and fans alike. I’m sure that the other nations will envy the backing that we receive."
For Brazilian residents, the next chance to purchase Paralympic tickets will be in December.
After the Paralympics ticket lottery results were sent out in October, the only ticket marketplace will open up in December, before tickets will finally be delivered in May. The final phase for the ticket program will happen in June, when in-person box offices open in Rio de Janeiro.
