(ATR) - The worldwide sponsorship in the information technology category is now under the brand of Atos Origin, the French company that acquired previous sponsor SchlumbergerSema last year.
A statement from Atos Origin's Paris headquarters makes official the switch, following completion of the Sema sale in January. Executive vice president Jean Chevallier says his company remains committed to delivering its services through the 2008 Games in Beijing.
"We will continue to make the IT services in each Games better than the last and exhibit the extraordinary results that our clients expect and demand."
Atos Origin steps into Athens with less than five months to go before the Games, but it inherits the SchlumbergerSema team and infrastructure which is said to be working well.
