Neighbors of Oscar Pistorius testified Tuesday about what they heard and saw the night the Olympian shot Reeva Steenkamp.

Michael Nhlengethwa, who lived next door to Pistorius, told the court that on the night of Valentine's Day of 2013, his wife Eontle woke him when "she heard a bang."

CNN reports EontleNhlengethwa demonstrated for the court the scream she later heard coming from the Olympic sprinter's home, startling the court with a powerful wail and then adding: "But like a man."

Ricca Motshuane, another neighbor who took the stand on Tuesday, also imitated the sound she heard and let out two cries one after another.

Michael Nhlengethwa testified that when he saw a stretcher leaving the Paralympian's home the night of the shooting, he knew Steenkamp "was no more."

The Nhlengethwaslived closer to Pistorius than neighbors called by prosecutors, who said they heard a woman screaming on the night of the shooting.

One neighbor who testified to hearing a woman's "blood-curdling" screams on the night lived around 560 feet from the double-amputee's home. The Nhlengethwas' bedroom window was approximately 80 feet from the balcony doors of Pistorius' bedroom.

Michael and Eontle Nhlengethwa are the third and fourth neighbors to take the stand for the defense, following Monday's testimony from Johan Stander and his daughter Carice.

The defense is expected to call 14 to 17 witnesses throughout the duration of the trial, which isexpected to last into mid-May before Judge Thokozile Masipa makes a decision.

If convicted, Pistorius faces 25 years in jail.
