(ATR) China continues to hold the overall and gold medal count over the United States. China has 64 total medals, 31 which are gold. The United States has 63 total medals, while 29 are gold.

Hosts Great Britain is 3rd in the medal count with 18 gold medals and 40 overall medals. Team GB earned 47 medals, with 19 golds in Beijing.

Overall, 69 nations have won a medal, with 38 winning at least one gold medal.
