(ATR) Dentsu has been recently named the official authority over sponsor and supplier rights for the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.

The advertising and marketing company demonstrates avid support of rugby in Asia as they have also partnered with the Japan Rugby Football Union as well as the 2019 Japan Rugby organizing committee.

The agreement was made in conjunction with sports management company IMG giving the pair, along with World Rugby, a greater opportunity to expand support of the tournament.

"This deal reflects the strong commercial interest within Japan and across Asia. Dentsu's unparalleled knowledge of the Japanese market will enable Rugby World Cup 2019 to reach and harness interest from top Japanese multinationals while maximizing promotion of the tournament across the host nation," states World Rugby Head of Commercial, Broadcast and Marketing Murray Barnett.

This will be the first time the Rugby World Cup will be held in Asia and will run from Sep. 20-Nov. 2, 2019. Around 400,000 international visitors are expected to attend.

Paris 2024 Signs 13th Top Sponsor

The Paris bid has added multinational energy organization SUEZ, whileBudapest 2024 is to announce a batch of partners next week.

Paris 2024 now has 13 official partners and has amassed more than €26 million ($29 million) in private sector funding.

In addition to financial support, Paris-based SUEZ will use its expertise in sustainable management to support the bid’s vision for reinvention and renewal in Paris and promises to promote sustainable practices across the country.

Paris 2024’s top-tier partners also meet as a group with the bid leadership every quarter to offer their contributions to support the bid in its mission to bring the Olympics back to the capital for the first time since 1924.

ITTF renews partnership with Tinsue

The table tennis sport flooring supplier Tinsue plans to continue their partnership with the ITTF for the next eight years.

Tinsue has been known to create memorable flooring for the table tennis event at the Olympic Games. The company displayed a blue flooring at London 2012 and green at Rio 2016. Through the partnership with the ITTF, Tinsue will have the opportunity to create the flooring for the Tokyo 2020 Games along with the ITTF World Tour Finals from 2017-2020.

"Tinsue has now been a long term partner of the ITTF and it's a pleasure to continue to work with them for another four years firstly on our prestigious end of year showcase event, the World Tour Grand Finals, and the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games," ITTF Marketing Director Steve Dainton states.

ELEVEN Sports Network expands to five more countries

Sports fans across the globe will be have the opportunity to catch their favorite Euro hockey player's every movethrough the new partnership between ELEVEN Sports Network and Media Pro.

Per their agreement, ELEVEN sports platforms will stream live and exclusive content of the Euro Hockey League for the next five seasons as well as the 2019 and 2021 EuroHockey Championships.

Belgium as well as Luxembourg, Poland, Singapore and Taiwan will now have access to such content.

"We are pleased to partner with ELEVEN and bring these two fantastic competitions to fans in five more countries," President of the European Hockey Federation Marijke Fleuren said in a statement.

"After the brilliant performance of the Belgian men’s national team at Rio 2016, Hockey is hot in Belgium right now. We are sure that the staging of the 2019 EuroHockey Championships in Antwerp, which serves as a qualifier for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, will be a particular hit not only with the Belgium fans, but fans across the globe."

Since the introduction of the Euro Hockey League to the European Hockey Federation in 2007 the sport has become one of the five most popular team sports worldwide.
