Far Hills, New Jersey - CoSport and the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) announced today the timeline for the launch in the United Statesfor the sale of tickets for the London 2012 Paralympic Games. CoSport has been appointed by the USOC as its exclusive authorized ticket reseller for the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
CoSport will commence sales at 12:00 noon (Eastern time) on Wednesday, September 28, 2011. The first phase of tickets sales will be handled exclusively through an on-line request phase at
www.cosport.com. The request phase will remain open until 12:00 noon (Eastern time) on Friday, October 14, 2011.
During this request phase all applicants will have an equal chance of being awarded requested tickets. CoSport will begin to fulfill ticket requests from available inventory once this initial request phase has concluded. No deposit or down payment is required for ticket requests. In the case that ticket requests exceed available inventory for any session, a ballot will be conducted by CoSport at the end of October. CoSport will then begin to notify applicants of the status of their order.
In recognition of Visa's longstanding support of the Paralympic Games, only Visa can be used to purchase tickets.
"The London 2012 Paralympic Games is guaranteed to be an amazing competition and one of the largest Paralympic Games to-date, and we are excited that fans will be able to attend the events live by purchasing tickets through CoSport," said USOC CEO Scott Blackmun. "We expect some standout performances by our athletes who are training hard to make America proud."
