Hundreds of surf lifesavers from across South East Queensland will gather at Tallebudgera Recreation Centre this Sunday to showcase their performance skills in preparation for Surf Life Saving Queensland’s (SLSQ) involvement in the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
SLSQ members will come together for cast workshops in acting, vocals and dancing. Members range from 16 years to ‘golden years’, and are expected to fill over 380 roles in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC) Chairman, Peter Beattie AC will also announce details of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies volunteer cast auditions process.
What: GOLDOC and SLSQ will hold workshops for members to participate in the GC2018 Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
Where: Tallebudgera Recreation Centre, 1525 Gold Coast Highway, Palm Beach, Queensland
When: Sunday 13 August. Media to arrive at 11.30am sharp for interviews with select talent (details below).
