
(ATR) The Hungarian Olympic Committee celebrated its 120th anniversary on Dec. 14-15 following its general assembly.
More than 600 guests attended a performance at the Hungarian State Opera that showcased Hungary's rich Olympic history.
IOC president Thomas Bach attended the assembly as well as Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban. Orban expressed his strong support for the Budapest 2024 bid while Bach called the city a "strong" candidate in "a strong competition".
Rome 2024 Unveils Bid Logo
Rome 2024 unveiled its logo on Dec. 13 followed by a 7-minute video-mapping display of the logo at Trevi Fountain that night. The logo depicts the Roman Coliseum.
On Tuesday, it was the Golden Colors Awards held by CONI honoring Italian Olympians past and present. There was also a private Mass for the Italian Olympic family at St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican.
