The governor of Ukraine's Luhansk region, Sergii Haidai, said in an interview with the US network CNN that nearly 80 percent of Lugansk territory is under Russian control, as he acknowledged in his official Telegram profile.

On the other hand, at least five civilians were killed in the Donetsk region on Wednesday, according to the head of the regional military administration, Pavlo Kirilenko, who confirmed that there are three people in Marinka and two in Vuhledar.

In addition, he confirmed information about two civilians killed in Pavlivka and three injured in Kramatorsk, Mariupol and Lyman. He also said on his official Facebook profile that there is one injured person in the Lugansk region who has received medical help in Bakhmut.

On Wednesday there were also bombings by Russian troops in the city of Zelenodolsk, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, according to its mayor, Dimitro Neveselii, on his official Facebook profile.

“After the bombing, there is a disruption of communications. There is no electricity or water because of this. We will begin restoration work in the morning,” he said.

Elsewhere in the country, a mass grave — with two burial sites for civilians — has been discovered in the city of Borodyanka with nine dead, including a 15-year-old girl, according to the Kiev Region Police on their official Facebook profile.

In the first place, the teenager and a man of about 35 years were found, while in the second place Ukrainian law enforcement officers found the bodies of six people: four men and two women.

“These people were killed by the occupiers, some of the dead have signs of torture. I want to emphasize that these people are civilians. Russian military deliberately shot peaceful people who did not resist and were not a threat,” said the chief of police of the Kiev region, Andrii Nebitov.

According to the latest report of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, clashes are taking place in the direction of the Lyman settlement and the exit to Slovyansk from the north-east, as well as in the western and north-western parts of Rubizhne.

Russian troops have carried out assault operations in the Novotoshkivske leadership, but they have not been successful, and have also been active around Popasna, according to Ukrainian forces.
