Sergio Pérez's image continues to rise for Red Bull, as not only has his sporting performance grown by 2022, but his media presence is playing a crucial part for the energy drinks brand in the Americas.

Due to its popularity and growth in Mexico and the United States, Checo Pérez is listed as the main image of the team for the North American races, with the new Miami Grand Prix adorning the first advertising effort and brand entertainment.

This Tuesday, April 19, the official Youtube account revealed an 11-minute short film, where the main characters are Sergio Pérez and the head of the team, Christian Horner, who starred in action scenes under the premise of being in a hurry: traveling from New York to Miami on the same day to aboard a single-seater of the team.

The full video can be viewed through this Youtube link, where the Oracle Red Bull Racing account boasted the video with a duration of 11 minutes and 11 seconds, the same number as that used by Checo in his car during each Formula 1 race since its debut.

“As the excitement around the Miami Grand Prix grows, Checo takes a trip through the streets of New York City and the swampy Everglades to finally reach the new circuit,” the short film description reads.

The reason is because Pérez is not alone in this video, because in addition to receiving Horner's orders, he gathers his entire pit team to help him along the way, where he drives an RB7, a single-seater champion in 2011 with Sebastián Vettel and which Checo used during his ShowRun in Mexico City.

Throughout the video, Checo shares the spotlight with other Red Bull member athletes in other disciplines, such as the stellar appearances of professional wakeboarding, Parks Bonifay; American tennis player Reilly Opelka; Miami Dolphin cornerback Byron Jones, and skaters Zion Wright and Jamie Mr. Foyd.

The scenes were filmed in various iconic locations in the United States, particularly in the states of Florida and New York, as they traveled aboard the car across the Brooklyn Bridge, the China Town neighborhood, Miami Bay and all the way to the Everglades National Park.

All this with the aim of walking through essential points of the United States and continuing the growth of Red Bull and Formula 1 in the United States, for which they have used the image of Mexican Sergio Pérez as the main banner.

The entire short film was also part of the campaign to welcome the new Miami circuit, where it will be run for the first time next Sunday, May 8, in one of the new cities added by Formula 1 to the calendar and which has the Hard Rock Stadium as its main distinguishing feature.

Because it is still in its final phase of construction, the plot of the video revolved around Checo arriving early after a real crossing, in which he involved a crocodile, talk with taxi drivers, an infringement for parking in a prohibited place, changing tires and even his release on the news.

All to get to the heart of the Miami Dolphin Stadium and contact Christian Horner again, where it was clarified that everything was a misunderstanding due to the similarity in the pronunciation of the words “In May” (in May, in Spanish), and “Today”, (today, in Spanish).
