HBO Max released the first trailer for the second season of the comedy series. The critically acclaimed, Emmy-winning fiction will follow the evolution of the dark mentoring between legendary Las Vegas comedian Deborah Vance, starring Jean Smart, and her young writer Ava, played by Hannah Einbinder, while travel all over the country preparing Deborah's new stand-up act.
For those who haven't seen it, Hacks is an American television series in the comedy-drama genre created by Lucia Aniello, Paul W. Downs and Jen Statsky that premiered on May 13, 2021.
T he trailer for season 2 promises us exactly what all fans of the duo wanted to see: more interactions between them, some physical comedy and explosive fights. This installment promises to be as black and charming as the first one; in addition, it will feature new characters in the cast played by Laurie Metcalf ('Lady Bird'), Martha Kelly (stand-up comedian we saw in 'Euphoria') and Ming-Na Wen. In this new batch of episodes, Ava and Deborah will go on tour in the United States, a combination so explosive that it promises to multiply the fun and encounters of their first installment by one hundred.
The trailer starts strong and conquers us with 'Make your own kind of music', by Cass Elliott (which the most nostalgic will remember for 'Lost'), and proposes a road trip in which there will be smiles, comedy... And open wounds.
