With the reminder of the next total solar eclipse that can be seen from Mexico, and which may be visible in some states of the Republic, the question of when will be the next one that can be observed for the It acquires greater relevance, since some astrology lovers will be able to know if it would be advisable to move to observe another solar eclipse again.
The reality could be disappointing, because although 24 solar eclipses are predicted to be visible from Mexico City during this century, all of them will be partial and none can be total, so citizens of the capital who wish to observe one at this time, will have to move to another state or even another country in for the next few years.
Despite this bad news for the citizens of CDMX, according to the TuTiempo record, there will be four total solar eclipses in Mexican territory during the 21st century, so they can take advantage and plan the trip to the next states in the coming years.
As mentioned above, the next total solar eclipse visible from Mexico will be in 2024, so it can be seen in cities such as Mazatlan, Durango, Monclova, Matamoros, Piedras Negras, San Pedro, Torreón, Peñón Blanco, Zaragoza, among others.
This is the earliest date for the inhabitants of Mexico, especially those who wish to see a total solar eclipse on their land, because for the next one they will have to wait until 2052, almost 30 years after the last one that can be seen from Mexico.
Specifically, it is estimated that it will occur on March 30, 2052, visible in its entirety in cities such as Aguascalientes, Ciudad Victoria, Ixtapa, Loreto, Puerto Vallarta, Tabasco, Tepic, Tequila, Zacatecas, among others.
After this total solar eclipse, the next one visible from Mexico in the 21st century will occur almost 20 years later. Precisely on March 23, 2017 in emblematic cities such as Monterrey, Chichen-Itza, Cozumel, Hermosillo, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Progreso, Tulum, among others.
The decade of the seventies will be key in Mexican astronomy in the 21st century, since just six and a half years later another will be seen in Mexico, specifically on May 11, 1978, when the total solar eclipse passes through cities such as Guadalajara, Aguascalientes, León, Manzanillo, Puerto Vallarta, Tonala, Zapopan, among others.
This will be the last total solar eclipse of the 21st century that can be perceived from Mexico, although a year earlier you will be able to see another solar eclipse in Cancun and Isla Mujeres, but in this case it will be annular, so the sun will appear a bright ring around the moon and it will not darken completely.
Therefore, astronomy lovers should consider traveling to some of these areas of Mexico to witness a total solar eclipse, especially the millions of capitals who will not be able to see one on their local land during this 21st century. There will be four opportunities over the next 100 years, with the closest in April 2024.
