Agents of the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) recaptured Santiago Quiroz Zermeño, el Chago, who was designated as head of the plaza in San Francisco del Rincón, Guanajuato, and linked to the multi-homicide of five people in a palenque in 2017.

According to local reports, the municipal police retreated from possible reprisals by criminals responding to the alleged criminal leader's orders, thus canceling their daily surveillance operations.

According to the Sedena report, Chago was arrested again on April 11, along with his companion, Sanjuana “N”, who were in possession of two firearms and six magazines.
