This April 7 marked the 17th anniversary of the lawsuit against current President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), who at that time was the head of government of the Federal District (DF), and several of his supporters recalled the event with messages and photographs.

Among them was the president of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, who has stood out for being one of the most loyal followers of Tabasqueño; she is also the closest official today.

With this post made from his Twitter account, Sheinbaum Pardo reaffirmed his loyalty to the president with a brief message, which was accompanied by a black and white photograph showing both of them sitting at a desk reviewing a document.

17 years after the lawlessness we continue to say: Yes, it is an honor,” wrote the president of the country's capital.

This publication was shared and commented on by the communicator Víctor Trujillo, a staunch opponent of the ideals of the political movement calling itself the Fourth Transformation (Q4), which questioned Claudia Sheinbaum for this message on her networks.

With an ironic comment, the creator the controversial character Brozo assured that the former academic's support speech for the UNAM changed, because now he “spreads” the blame, when before he had a genuine commitment to the cause of López Obrador.

'We keep saying, 'shares, distributes and dilutes guilt, damage and responsibility. 'I keep saying, I ratify, I confirm, 'is the declaration of a genuine commitment. In short, growing up hurts”, Trujillo wrote from his official Twitter account.

Users of this social network immediately commented on Trujillo's tweet and claimed that this moment was “the destruction of Mexico”, as they allowed him to continue as head of government, for which they blamed former President Vicente Fox Quesada (2000-2006) for allowing it.

Another figure similar to AMLO who also commemorated the lawlessness was CDMX's secretary of government, Martí Batres, who published an excerpt of the speech he gave in 2005 against Fox Quesada for initiating this process against him, which was carried out by the Chamber of Deputies at the time.

“Today 17 years ago the Chamber of Deputies discouraged the Head of Government @lopezobrador_ with the aim of removing him and preventing him from competing for the Presidency. Now that AMLO is President, the people will have the power to remove him or ratify him legally and democratically,” Batres shared.

It was on May 18, 2004, when the then Attorney General's Office (PGR), which was under the mandate of Vicente Fox, requested the dismissal of López Obrador in relation to the attempt to expropriate the property known as “El Encino” to communicate to a hospital.

The reason for requesting the defence of the federal legislature was that in September 2003, the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), unanimously, annulled the legal decision that supported the appropriation of the property where the urban spot would be communicated with the ABC Hospital. Thus, the PGR proceeded with the charge of “contempt” to remove AMLO's legal immunity and attempt to prosecute him.

Consequently, the Chamber of Deputies held the special session to determine whether the head of government of Mexico City was challenged on April 7, 2005, where AMLO presented himself to deliver a speech less than 10 minutes in which he argued that it was actually a plot planned by the political and business spheres of Mexico.

The names he mentioned in relation to this plot were Vicente Fox Quesada, president of Mexico; Romulo O'Farrill, high-profile businessman; and Mariano Azuela, president of the SCJN.
