The dilemma over the veto of Javier Chicharito Hernández of the Mexican National Team continues. Although the position of the Tri and the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) has been clear not to call it, the fans and some sports commentators insist on their call.

But whoever felt that the subject of Hernandez was taking on too much relevance was Luis García. The Azteca Deportes sports commentator demerited the value that was being given to the Galaxy player and called him a “normal striker”, nothing out of the extraordinary.

During the broadcast of Los Protagonistas, Dr. García released his opinion about Chicharito. Together with Christian Martinoli and Luis Roberto Alves Zague, he spoke about Hernández Balcázar and stated that with him or without him the national team would not achieve the goal it has every four years, to reach the fifth match.

He also highlighted that he does not have such outstanding skills on the court as the Brazilian Pelé or other outstanding scorers worldwide. Although he has maintained an outstanding performance in MLS (Major League Soccer), he does not rise to the level of other world cup figures.

“With Hernandez, without Hernandez with Perez, without Perez, we are on the same level. Now it turns out that Javier Hernández is our Diego Armando Maradona, our Pelé, our (Zinedine) Zidane. No, he is a normal center forward who has already been in several World Cups and has not made us reach the eighth match either,” he said.
