The Tigres squad managed to reach the top of the standings at the end of Matchday 12 of the Liga MX. The work that Miguel Herrera has done as coach of the felines has yielded results; however, he would be looking for an additional goal in addition to the 2022 Clausura championship.
Together with André-Pierre Gignac he would be collaborating for the Frenchman to become champion in scoring. At a press conference, Piojo Herrera said that in his clubs he has directed, he has managed to score champions, so with the brand currently carried by Gignac he would be enshrining that goal.
To date 12 of the Grita Mexico 2022, Bomboro is the leader of the scoring table, so Herrera pointed out that the mission in the club is to obtain the best numbers in the championship, as he explained in a press conference prior to the match with Pachuca:

For this reason, Piojo Herrera showed his happiness of his brand; he recalled that when he took the reins of Tigres he set out to return the French striker to his version of goalscorer.
He revealed that Gignac's success is the organization of the offense, noting that the players have supported the Frenchman to achieve the possible scores in the area, since they have the mission of bringing the ball closer to him so that he concludes all the chances of scoring.
“I am happy and as I said since I arrived, Gignac had to score a lot of goals, our responsibility is to get the ball there, that he is there in the area to take advantage of those circumstances and to this day I think it has been done well by the team.”
