Guardar

The Mayor's Office of Cali announced a new face-to-face job fair in the city. This day will be held after the success of the first event of its kind in 2022 in the city, as indicated by the administration of Jorge Iván Ospina.

The Secretariat of District Economic Development, in partnership with Comfenalco Valle 'Delagente' and the Cosmocentro shopping center, will hold the second face-to-face job fair of the year, this time aimed at people who want to be part of the BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) sector.

This event will be held next Wednesday, April 6 on the second floor of the aforementioned shopping center. The face-to-face job fair will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., according to the Mayor's Office of Cali on Tuesday.

Those interested in applying for any of the offers that will be available at the fair must attend at the aforementioned time, with their resume, identity document and the complete vaccination schedule against covid-19.

“It is always very important for us as mayor's office to demonstrate to caleñity and, above all, to youth, that we are working together with our allies to identify more and better job opportunities,” said Liliana Sierra, Secretary of Economic Development.

Companies are looking for people with or without experience who want to work in a call center

According to the Mayor's Office of Cali, during the job fair there will be offers for people who wish to apply for vacancies in the call center. The district administration assured that people who speak English are needed, but for those who do not, there are also quotas

- Bilingual Call Center Agents: high school men and women, technicians, technologists or professionals, with or without work experience, with a minimum level of English B2+ are required. People who have not finished their baccalaureate but have a good level of English also apply.

- Spanish Call Center Agents: For these offers, men and women are required high school graduates, technicians or technologists, with or without experience, handling office tools and good verbal fluency.

“Cali is one of the most attractive destinations in the world for locating global services, due to its high availability of qualified human talent, competitive costs and favorable business climate. In recent years, this sector has grown and it takes a lot of staff to work in BPO,” said Juan Gabriel Bustamante, coordinator of the Employability area of the Secretariat.

Those interested in participating in the face-to-face job fair in Cali, which integrates the contact center, back office, finance, accounting and human resources services, among others, do not have to make any type of prior registration before going to the fair, nor are there any costs to participate in the event.
