This Tuesday, April 5, Empresas Publicas de Medellín (EPM), announced that in the afternoon it will start a new cycle of water cuts in different sectors of the capital of Antioquia.

According to EPM, this suspension in the aqueduct service occurs due to the need to carry out maintenance work on different drinking water storage tanks. The above “to provide a quality aqueduct service,” said the company.

For this reason, EPM will interrupt the aqueduct service, on a scheduled basis, between 4:00 p.m. this Tuesday, April 5 and 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, in the following ranges and areas of the capital of Antionquia:

In and around La Estrella

From 9:00 p.m. this Tuesday there will be a water cut in the sectors: Ditaires; Triana; San Francisco; San Gabriel (Itagüí); April 19; Bellavista (Estrella); San Andrés; Center (Star); La Ferreria; Horizontes; Quebrada Grande; El Pedrero; Chile; La Chinca; Las Brisas (Estrella); Caqueta; Ancon San Martin; Camilo Torres; El Dorado ( Star); Spring (Star); San Cayetano; Escobar; San Vicente; Santa Catalina; Industrial Zone; Sabaneta (Fictitious); San Agustin; Monterrey; San Antonio

According to EPM, this interruption will be due to the work on the supply tank in the La Estrella sector. This cut could last approximately six hours.

Las Vegas

The water suspension in the Las Vegas sector will begin at the same time as the one mentioned above. According to information provided by the company, this interruption will be due to work on the supply tank in the El Dorado sector that could last approximately seven hours.

In and around Santa Elena

On Wednesday, April 6, the suspension of the aqueduct service will be in the sectors: Versailles No. 2 (Sta. Elena); La Cruz (Santa Elena); Oriente (Sta. Elena); Versailles No. 1; El Raizal; Carpinelo (Sta. Elena); San Jose La Cima No. 1 S.E.; La Avanzada (Santa Elena); Maria Cano-Bolas S.E.; San Jose La Cima No. 2 H.E.; La Salle; The Commitment (St. Helena); La Esperanza No. 2 (St. Helena); Bello Oriente, La Cruz upper part, La Cruz lower part, La Honda, Versailles II, Versailles II - Mirador.

Work on the La Montaña supply tank will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will last approximately six hours. In other words, service would be restored at 4:00 p.m. that same day, according to EPM.

Other areas that will be affected

In the Bosques de Zúñiga sector there will be a water cut from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6. This suspension in the drinking water service is due to the work that will be carried out on the Campestre supply tank.

Likewise, in areas known as: El Chingui, El Dorado, El Salado, El Trianon, La Mina, Las Antillas, San Jose, San Rafael, the aqueduct service will be cut from 7:00 p.m. and will last for approximately eleven hours, which is how long the maintenance work on the San Rafael tank takes.
