Two months after the first round of elections, the different political sectors are already showing their positions in the face of possible results. In the case of the right wing, represented mainly by Federico 'Fico' Gutiérrez, from the Colombian Team, it is already presumed that if it does not win the presidency, its constituents intend to denounce the results, even to take violent actions on their own accord.

A Gutiérrez voter in Cali made it clear that, “whatever the outcome” of the elections, the city had to be “ready and ready to defend vital points.” The man, whose identity has not been revealed, incited a “protection and defense plan” and assured that he will use drones, weapons and “mobile groups” to support other groups in order to shield the capital of Valle del Cauca.

The statement was recorded on video and is already viral on social media. On the morning of April 4, she was even seen by the candidate of the Historical Pact, Gustavo Petro, who called the citizen's call a paramilitary plan.

Faced with the controversy and Petro's statements, Gutiérrez assured that he does not endorse violence and called on his constituents to respect the elections and his campaign. He called for continued work in peace and with respect.

“No incitement to violence or anything like it is endorsed by me or by my campaign. To the people who are joining all over the country, all my gratitude. Of course, I ask you to continue working in peace, and with respect for the rules and for the people. I ask those who follow me on this path to the Presidency, not to take the bad example of those who are attacking us today. To every aggression, we respond with proposals. To every insult, we respond with more work. To every lie, we respond politely. Let's not let ourselves be deconcentrated,” Gutierrez wrote on Twitter.

Likewise, he took the opportunity to directly attack Petro. The candidate of the Team for Colombia recalled the past of the representative of the Historical Pact to say that he is the only violent one.

It should be noted that Gutiérrez and Petro are the candidates who are leading the presidential polls. According to one of the most recent reports, revealed by the National Consulting Center and the Semana Magazine, the candidate of the Historical Pact continues to lead the intentionality of voting in the country with 32% in his favor, followed by Gutiérrez who accumulates 23%.

For third place, a tie was found between Sergio Fajardo and Rodolfo Hernández with an intention of 10%; and later Ingrid Betancourt was positioned with 3% and Enrique Gómez with 1%
