Italian journalist wants Gianluca Lapadula to play the World Cup with the Peruvian national team: “We would be happy”

The Peruvian national team won a very important victory against Paraguay on the last date of the South American Qualifiers that allowed them to enter the playoff against the Asian representative ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. It was not an easy task, since only one victory was valid to prevent Colombia and Chile from taking that quota. One of those responsible for this achievement was Gianluca Lapadula, who was recently praised by an Italian journalist.

In fact, Lapadula was part of the 'Azzurra' in 2016, when he was called up by the coach on duty Gianpiero Ventura during his time at AC Milan. He even scored a hat-trick in a friendly against San Marino. However, he was not called up again and his level dropped until he passed through clubs such as Genoa, Lecce and Benevento, his current team.

Gianluca Lapadula has had an impressive adaptation to the Peruvian national team.
