The Bogotá Aqueduct and Sewerage Company will carry out scheduled water cuts on Thursday, March 31, 2022, which are made to guarantee the continuous supply of drinking water in the country's capital.

During the day, repair and maintenance works will be carried out on the distribution networks of various sectors of the city in order to minimize damage caused by major damage to the pipes or the drinking water supply fittings.

To carry out these tasks, temporary suspension of service is required in the following localities and neighborhoods:

The EAAB warned that in the event that the works are postponed or canceled, the service provider will inform users of the new date of the water cut and plan their daily activities.

Likewise, the Mayor's Office of Bogotá and the Aqueduct Company make the following recommendations to citizens to mitigate the impact of the suspension:

- Take into account the length of time that the lack of service lasts and, before cutting, store enough water in the tanks that are used during that period.

- If you must store the water in pots, keep them covered and consume the water that is there within 24 hours to avoid discomfort.

- Wash the storage tanks of the liquid at least twice a year to avoid diseases.

- Maintain in perfect condition the facilities through which the water in the house and waste water passes (pipes, taps, toilets, washbasins, among others).

- Make use of water in a balanced way, privileging hand washing and food preparation.

To ensure the health of the city, the Bogotá Aqueduct Company will provide the service of tank cars with priority to clinics, hospitals and centers with a high concentration of the public. Those who require it can also apply for assistance on the waterline 116.
