In one of her well-known opinion columns, renowned actress Margarita Rosa de Francisco defended the vice-presidential formula of its political leader, the Historic Pact candidate, Gustavo Petro Urrego.

La Caleña's pronouncement was given on her portal Margarita Va Sola, where she not only highlighted the spirit of social leader Francia Márquez, but also vehemently questioned several Colombian politicians who, unlike Márquez, would have more experience in public office.

In fact, Margarita Rosa referred to President Iván Duque, who “they said he was a trained young economist.” There, he took the opportunity to throw the first sablazo at both the head of state and former president Andrés Pastrana.

In addition, former Attorney General Néstor Humberto Martínez, former Finance Minister Alberto Carrasquilla and now former prisoner Andrés Felipe Arias sent him hard pullas. There, the singer also said that she would not continue to name political mistakes, but would go on to defend the second most voted candidate of the Historical Pact in the consultations.

“Why is a woman who has been fighting for the rights of a community like hers not ready for more than two decades? Why is a woman who won the most important global recognition as an environmental defender not ready for?” , he commented asking himself De Francisco.

What's more, she even stressed that Francia Márquez is not only a lawyer, but she has succeeded despite being a mother head of the family and coming from Cauca and one of its poorest villages. “France has a respectful way of expressing itself. To tell a neoliberal like former President Gaviria, “neoliberal”, is a tautology; it is to apply one of the founding laws of logical thought (Western, though) as is the principle of identity: a neoliberal is a neoliberal,” he said.

He even says that Petro's' vice 'embodies “the social inequality” that abounds in Colombia. Moreover, he sarcastically argued the reasons why he believes that the environmental leader is prepared to lead the country alongside the former mayor of Bogotá.

He added: “I don't see her ready to take advantage of public office and turn her back on her own speech and history, like the great social leader she is.”

However, it wasn't all compliments. The former presenter of El Desafío said that, if France and Petro come to power, she will be ready to question her in case she gets dirty or commits an event that does not please her constituents.

“Your constituents will be attentive and willing to criticize your management and to give it the political control that every official of the State requires,” he warned, not without first highlighting the “political phenomenon” that Márquez represents.
