Peru vs. Paraguay: 'Chorri' Palacios warned of a possible incentive for the 'albirroja' to win in Lima

The former footballer of the Peruvian national team believes that other teams could incentivize Paraguay to come out with everything this Tuesday.

Roberto Palacios issued a warning to one day of the most important match of the Peruvian national team in the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers. According to the 'Chorri', there will probably be selections that will encourage Paraguay not to allow a victory for the 'bicolor' this Tuesday.

“We don't think it will be an easy match. Their problem was the coaches because they have players, look how they beat Ecuador. The good thing is that you won't be your best player, Almirón. Do you think that you are not going to encourage Paraguay to come and dirty the party in Peru? If Peru does not win and draw, there are other teams that will be able to reach and pass it,” he said in a conversation with the ADFP website.

He also told an anecdote from when he was still a football player. “They talked to us to incentivize us, it's normal to win. If we win that ticket? We won the match, but for us, without accepting the money. I remember that we were bad but we talked and said that we must win for ourselves, for our fans out of self-pride, to say goodbye with dignity at home”.

Finally, he was encouraged to give his result for Peru vs. Paraguay. “I settle for 1-0 and we secured the repechage. Let's not ask for more, let's not ask to beat, because there the boys are going to want to go out with everything and they can leave spaces and with a score against everything it can become more complicated”.
