Sevilla, 25 Mar Sevilla FC and former goalkeeper and former goalkeeper Juan Carlos Unzué, affected by ALS, have launched a campaign with the slogan 'Never give up, live is worth', which aims to raise awareness about amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and the fight against this disease. The club from Seville reported this Friday of a campaign in which it includes as its slogan the 'never give up' that the entity displays as “an essential part of its DNA and its way of understanding and facing life”. “Universal values that Sevilla FC boasts and which Juan Carlos Unzué, the brand new Dorsal de Leyenda -an award that the club gave to Navarro last Wednesday-, embodies in an absolutely exceptional way,” said the entity in its statement. “The former footballer, since he made his diagnosis of ALS public in 2020, has become, in each and every one of his public appearances, one of the voices of hope for all people suffering from this disease. A disease that is practically invisible to the bulk of society and to which we want to give visibility from Seville, collaborating with Juan Carlos to bring this problem to the center of social and current debate”, he emphasizes. To this end, Sevilla has produced an audiovisual piece in which the top managers of the club, players from the first teams, a representation of all the academies and employees from all departments have come together to raise awareness that the ELA stops it “among all”. This audiovisual is joined by several solidarity initiatives through the Sevilla FC Foundation, such as the sale of a solidarity scarf specially designed for the occasion with the message 'Never give up, live is worth', from which all the funds raised will go to the protection and help of the sick through the ELA Foundation Andalusia. In addition, at the signing session of the Unzué book 'A full life', which the club held last Wednesday at the official store of Sevilla FC, the former goalkeeper, the club's sports director, Ramón Rodríguez 'Monchi'; and the coach of the first team, Julen Lopetegui, spent more than two hours signing copies for more than two hours half a thousand people at an event where all the available copies were sold.
