Julián Eraso, president of Euskadi Cycling Organizations, recalled the two tough years of a pandemic that “it seems that we are coming out of”, which will make “this year we will see the animation of people in ports again”, although on the contrary he announced that “we are still going to keep the bubble for the protection of the runners and teams”. Eraso has also expressed concern about the ongoing war in Ukraine, a conflict for which the organization has expressed its strongest rejection. “These are difficult days,” said the president of OCETA, who hopes that the strike of transporters will not end up affecting the race. “We will try to make Itzulia serve as an incentive to overcome these bad moments,” said Eraso, who wished that the race could offer “a great show”. The official jerseys of the event were also presented at the event. The yellow that will distinguish the leader of the General General will continue to be sponsored by Banco Sabadell, while Eusko Label will sponsor the red dot jersey of the Mountain, Gipuzkoa Kirolak the Green of Regularity and the Euskadi Basque Country the blue of the Best Youth.
