It is not possible that even school is a safe place” and “Horror that educational institutions cannot guarantee safety for students and continue to cover up rapists and abusers” were some of the comments that circulated on Twitter with the hashtag #JusticiaParaJazmin.

The positioning of the IPN authorities caused outrage to the students and the student community, noting that “as a result of the information collected so far, it is reported that the alleged crime referred to in various media, social networks and internet portals did not exist”.

Through a statement published on the Polytechnic social networks, the educational unit indicated that “it will be attentive to any requirement that the competent authorities make to clarify the facts and respectfully calls on the polytechnic community to avoid reproducing information that, by not conform to reality, improperly exposes the parties involved, which can cause them irreparable harm and jeopardize their physical and emotional integrity.”

For its part, the Attorney General's Office of Mexico City (FGJCDMX) indicated that it also opened an investigation folder into the case after receiving a complaint from one of her relatives of the young woman. However, the agency indicated that the student stated that she was not a victim of any crime and did not file a complaint.

According to preliminary reports, the young woman was located in bathrooms of the institution located in the Iztapalapa mayor's office, allegedly under the influence of alcoholic beverages and suffering from pain in her belly, so her mother came to report on March 22. The Prosecutor's Office also stated that the alleged victim decided not to have psychological intervention.

In addition, the initial versions suggest that at least five of her classmates and one adult participated in the events, who had drunk and drugged her prior to the assault. According to the first reports shared on social media, the alleged victim had ingested a drink called Four Loko, which would contain narcotics that affected her mental state. But this has not been confirmed, except for the refusal of being a victim.
