Public security personnel arrested this Tuesday afternoon, March 22 Dilan Alexis Alvaro Chavez, El Dilan, who was identified as the leader of a cell belonging to La Unión Tepito dedicated to extortion.

The arrest was carried out by police from the Ministry of Citizen Security (SSC) in coordination with elements of the Secretariat of the Navy (Semar), after being alerted to the presence of a heavily armed man in the streets of the Gustavo A. Madero mayor's office.

According to the testimony obtained by the capital authorities, El Dilan threatened a pedestrian passing through the DM Nacional colony with a long gun, after which it informed the authorities, who launched an operation to capture him.

After carrying out the proceedings, the uniformed men managed to find their whereabouts, as the 30-year-old man was on the San Juan de Aragón Causeway, where a passerby alerted the presence of Dilan inside a blue vehicle.

The uniformed intercepted the vehicle and asked it to leave its unit for a routine review, which resulted in the securing of 30 doses of marijuana, 12 sachets of cocaine and seven cocaine wrappers in stone, as well as a long gun, two rifle magazines, seven useful large-caliber cartridges and two telephones cell phones.

The Dilan was in the company of a woman, who was taken with the alleged offender to the vicinity of a Public Ministry, where he was recognized as the leader of a criminal cell belonging to La Unión Tepito.

According to investigations by capital authorities, the alleged criminal led a group of extortionists, kidnappers and narco-nudists who were responsible for carrying out floor charges from street vendors and semifixes.

If any of the people being asked for quotas refused to pay or could not cover the amount demanded by the extortionists, the criminal group kidnapped the victim and demanded significant amounts of money from their relatives for their release alive.

He was also linked to criminal groups made up of Colombian nationals who also engage in extortion and operate in the Cuauhtémoc, Venustiano Carranza and Gustavo A. Madero mayors, as well as in municipalities of the State of Mexico that are located in the metropolitan area of the capital.

On the other hand, members of the Tepito Union were arrested last Wednesday, March 16, by police officers from the capital in the Agrícola Oriental colony of Iztacalco, where they were responsible for distributing and trading drugs for the criminal organization.

Diego Alberto Aguirre and Brandon Martínez Méndez were identified as hit men and drug dealers for El Tyson, a local operator of La Unión Tepito, who is accused of drug trafficking, extortion and homicide in Iztacalco by Mexico City authorities.

Both were caught selling drugs on Oriente Street in Agrícola Oriental, for which uniformed men asked them to undergo a preventive review, before which they tried to flee on board a motorcycle, which was thwarted by the capital's police, who chased them on board their patrols.

After being captured and subsequently checked by personnel of the capital's Ministry of Citizen Security (SSC), they were found in possession of 86 bags of green grass with the characteristics of marijuana and 19 pellets with suspected glass, as well as cash, which is presumed to have been collected after the sale of narcotic drugs.
