Zamora (Spain), 21 Mar Music promoters from seven Ibero-American countries and the United States gather together with representatives of artists, sound companies, stage setters and other actors from the sector at the II Hispano Lusa Music Industry Fair (Fhlim), which is being held this week in Zamora (north). The fair, which last year opened the music industry meetings in Spain after the pandemic, will hold its second edition from Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th with the presence of 140 exhibitors, 25 performances by emerging groups, conferences, master classes and demonstrations of sound systems, equipment or instruments such as keyboards or batteries. The director of the fair, Álvaro Blanco, has indicated that there will also be representation and meetings of associations such as the General Society of Authors and Publishers (SGAE), the Association of Technical Representatives of Entertainment of Spain (ARTE) and the Cultural Association for State Coordinating Live Music Venues (ACCES). The fair, which has a budget of more than $110,000, expects the presence of more than 1,500 professionals from the sector, with an increase this year in the presence of Portuguese attendees. Exhibitors include promoters from the United States, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Chile, Argentina and Mexico who come to the fair with the intention of establishing direct channels of communication with representatives of Spanish and Portuguese artists in order to hold concerts in their countries. The fair, which will hold an open day on Sunday with unrestricted access to the general public, is reserved for the rest of the days for professionals in the sector and people with special interest in the music industry. The event, as explained by the director of Fhlim this Monday in the presentation, is set up as a meeting point between Spanish and Portuguese music companies and a space that promotes collaboration in this area between the two countries. Musical instruments, sound equipment and lights, stages, transport vehicles and concert infrastructure are some of the players in the music industry that come together at the fair, along with representatives of artists, concert promoters and sound system companies.
