Yesterday, Epic Games announced that all Fortnite profits generated between March 20, 2022 and April 3, 2022 will be used as humanitarian aid for all those affected by the war in Ukraine. Today, just one day after the announcement, they confirmed that they have already raised more than 35 million dollars.

Through the game's official networks, in addition to presenting the figure they have already managed to raise, they also highlighted that the funds will be allocated to UNICEF, the World Food Programme, UNHCR -the UN Refugee Agency-, and Direct Relief.

“These organizations work in the field and provide emergency aid, such as health and legal assistance, food, clean water, essential supplies and shelters. In the coming weeks, we will add more organizations to the list,” they anticipated in yesterday's post.

Through the publication in which they presented the initiative, they stressed that the funds will be sent to humanitarian aid organizations in a matter of days and that the collection will be made based on all real money purchases executed in the game. “This includes turkey packs, Fortnite Club, gifted battle passes and cosmetic packs like the Void Dweller pack,” they explained.

In addition to net purchases made in Fortnite, Microsoft will also contribute to “the net earnings reported by all sales of Fortnite content in the Microsoft Store between March 20, 2022 and April 3, 2022 in all countries where Fortnite is sold.”

To that will be added the proceeds from existing or reactivated Fortnite Club subscriptions during the same dates as mentioned above. All new subscriptions will also be considered in the collection.
