Daddy Yankee: these are the artists who publicly thanked his legacy

The “Big Boss” announced his retirement from urban music through a video posted on his social networks. Several urban artists did not hesitate to show their appreciation.

Daddy Yankee announced his official retirement from urban music. The announcement was made on March 20, leaving adults and children stunned and surprised. The video posted on his social networks was quickly commented on by fans and artists of the same genre, who publicly thanked the Puerto Rican for his arduous work and legacy.

In the video posted on his personal website and on his personal Instagram account, he is heard saying the following.

“In this race I finally see the goal. Now I'm going to enjoy all of you and everything you've given me. To this genre you say that I made it global, but it was you who gave me the key to make this genre the largest in the world,” said Yankee, also known as “The Big Boss” (Spanish).

He added the following: “Formally today I announce my retirement from music by giving you my best production, my best concert tour and I'm going to do them celebrating my 32nd year career with this collector's piece titled “Legendaddy”, he said in a video posted on his official Instagram account.

ARTISTS ARE GRATEFUL

Not only were the fans who were grateful, but also various artists who are colleagues of the Puerto Rican.

The 3:04 minute clip that was posted on Sunday night already has more than 11 and a half million views and more than 100,000 comments on Instagram. On YouTube's digital platform, it has more than half a million views and more than 10,000 comments.

The artists did not hesitate to be present in this publication and among them are Puerto Rican artists Brytiago, Justin Quiles, Rauw Alejandro, Tommy Torres, Baby Rasta, Kevvo, Panamanian Sech, Colombian J Balvin, renowned composers Luny Tunes, who are also part of the creation of the latest album of Daddy Yankee, called LegenDaddy.

This greeting was joined by renowned artists Becky G, Natti Natasha, Natalia Jimenez, among other figures.

Everyone showed their appreciation and surprise at the news of one of the greatest exponents of reggaeton.

COUNTRIES THAT WILL ENJOY THE CONCERT

Thousands of renowned urban fans and artists thanked the “DY for the work done and in turn regretted the announcement of his retirement. Only 14 countries will be able to see Daddy Yankee for the last time on a platform and they are: United States, Mexico, Canada, Chile, Argentina, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Costa Rica, Guatemala, San Salvador, Honduras, Dominican Republic and Panama. His presentations have been divided into 5 months, starting in August and ending in December of this year.

WHEN IS YOUR CONCERT IN PERU?

Through Daddy Yankee's official website and in the last seconds of his Instagram video, it was revealed that the date chosen to enjoy his greatest hits in Lima will be October 18, 2022.

The so-called “King of Reggaeton” will travel to more than 10 countries to sing his famous songs. It should be noted that the rumors of his arrival in Peru began since last February and at last his last concert can be confirmed in Peruvian lands.

Ticket sales in Peru will take place on the following dates.

- Pre-sale: March 30 and 31.

- Sale of general tickets: April 1st.
