The Head of Government of Mexico City (CDMX), Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, called on citizens to participate in the Mandate Revocation consultation promoted by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO).
On Saturday morning, during her tour of the recently rehabilitated Mexico-Tenochtitlan Causeway, the capital's president continued promoting the consultation following the publication of the decree allowing public servants to promote the Revocation without taking it as government propaganda during a period prohibited by the Constitution.
“Don't forget that we have a date with history this April 10th,” said Sheinbaum Pardo at the end of the event.
Before the activity, the Head of Government invited citizens, through her networks, to exercise their right and participate in the consultation, which she described as a “historic” exercise.

Since the adoption of the “decree” with which any public servant, including the federal president, can speak and promote the Mandate Revocation process, Claudia Sheinbaum has sent several messages to the people of the capital to participate.
On March 18, the capital's president celebrated during her press conference the approval of the project, arguing that the decision “is very good” because the National Electoral Institute (INE) “has not really promoted democratic exercise at the national level.”
From Tláhuac, Sheinbaum Pardo pointed out that the electoral body has acted partially throughout the process and has opted for the dissemination of the consultation.

It was joined by other officials and members of the Movimiento Regeneración Nacional (Morena) party, who assured that despite the fact that the Electoral Institute does not give the necessary publicity, they will look for all the polls to vote in that consultation.
Such was the case of the party's national leader, Mario Delgado Carrillo, who, through Morena's official account, celebrated the decree highlighting that it is right of Mexicans to promote and disseminate their position on the consultation of next April 10.
In the message, the Morenist invited citizens to paint their fence, place a canvas or stick a decal referring to the Revocation, “Don't be intimidated by the INE and its employers! Exercise your right!” , is read in the publication.

Along with the tweet, Delgado Carrillo shared a video in which he said that some electoral officials have disqualified the demonstrations of “millions of Mexicans exercising their right to participatory democracy.”
“They are the same people who doubted that 2.8 million signatures could be collected to carry out this democratic exercise (...) They accuse that they are systematic violations of the law, when they are the ones who are violating the Constitution trying to obstruct this democratic exercise by persecuting citizens,” he said.
While President López Obrador said that “the consultation is an important step forward for citizens to qualify and decide whether the ruler is doing well or not. If he is doing it right, let him continue; if he is doing it wrong, let him go.”
