With 19 minutes left, and with 0-2 on the score in favour of Borussia Mönchengladbach, the referee of the match, Benjamin Cortus, has decided to stop the match and the entire referee team has withdrawn from the field to decide whether it will finally be over. As can be seen in the images, it seems that a Bochum fan has thrown a glass that hit the head of one of the line's judges. Bochum's goalkeeper, Manuel Riemann, reproached the stands for his action.
