Caracas, 18 Mar The delegation of the European Union (EU) in Venezuela announced this Friday the opening of the call, with a budget of 4.8 million euros, for projects for the participation and inclusion of young people and the promotion of inclusive electoral processes. The EU indicated, in a press release, that the call is aimed at civil society organisations. “In this European Year of Youth, this initiative represents an impetus by the European Union towards youth and the role that young people can play in political, social life and the promotion of inclusive electoral processes; as well as supporting youth actions aimed at peace, conflict resolution and social cohesion in their communities”, he added. He explained that organizations wishing to participate must be registered as non-profit legal entities, established in Venezuela or in an EU country, and with at least two years of experience in the proposed topic presented. The deadline for submitting proposals is May 1 at 23:59 local time (3:00 GMT). Those who wish to participate should send their ideas exclusively to delegation-venezuela-cooperation@eeas.europa.eu. The EU also indicated that organizations wishing to learn more about this call can participate in the information session next Friday, April 8, at 10:00 local time (14:00 GMT), which will be virtual, so they must register at delegation-venezuela-cooperation@eeas.europa.eu. “All information about the call, its objectives, types of organizations and eligible activities, as well as the manner of submission of proposals, are explained in the Guide for Applicants and its annexes, available on the website of the Delegation of the European Union in Venezuela: https://europa.eu/!
