La Paz, 18 Mar The Bolivian football team began its preparation this Friday to end its participation in the qualifiers of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, with the novelty of the last-minute call of international gunner Marcelo Martins Moreno to face Brazil on the final day. Martins Moreno confirmed with a post on his social networks that he was called to play the match against Canarinha on March 29 in La Paz, on the eighteenth and final date of the South American qualifiers in Qatar. The striker of Cerro Porteño Paraguayan, who is also the top scorer in the heats, was not initially on the roster released by Bolivian coach César Farías two weeks ago. Martins leads the gunners standings of the South American qualifiers with 10 goals, three more than Argentina's Lautaro Martinez, Brazil's Neymar and Uruguayan Luis Suárez. Farías called mostly youth players for the last two dates of the playoffs. The players who have already joined the rally in La Paz underwent some “protocol” PCR tests in the morning to detect or rule out possible infections of covid-19, according to information from the Bolivian Football Federation (FBF). In the afternoon, the first training session of La Verde was scheduled at the Bolivar club stadium in La Paz, based on the results of laboratory analysis. La Verde de Farías will visit Colombia in Barranquilla on March 24 and five days later it will receive the already qualified Brazilian team in the more than 3,600 meters of altitude of La Paz. Bolivia no longer has the possibility of playing a World Cup quota, nor of aspiring to the repechage, so these two matches are rigorous. The last two dates of the qualifying rounds will also mark Farías' farewell to the Bolivian bench as he did not qualify for Qatar. CHIEF gb/ysm/cav
