Italy will abolish the health certificate and undertake a de-escalation

Rome, March 17 The Italian government announced on Thursday the start of a phase of de-escalation of measures against coronavirus, during which the mandatory health certificate will be phased out. “The objective was to get back to normal, to regain our social life, to reopen the economy, to get young people to go to school (...) Well, the measures adopted today recognize that we have come to this point,” Prime Minister Mario Draghi said at a press conference. In this de-escalation after more than two years of pandemic, Italy will abolish on April 1 the health certificate, which demonstrates vaccination or cure, outdoors and from May 1 also in many closed spaces, announced the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza.
