A record-breaking Immobile keeps Lazio in the fight for the Champions League

With a lone goal by Ciro Immobile, who became Lazio's top scorer, the Roman club won 1-0 against Venezia and remains in the fight to qualify for the next Champions League, this Monday at the close of matchday 29 of Serie A.

Immobile scored from the penalty spot in the 58th minute of the match, achieving his 144th goal for Lazio in Serie A, beating the top scorer record of the Roman team held by legendary Silvio Piola.

The victory allows Lazio to rise to 5th place, 7 points behind Juventus, which closes the Champions League zone.
