Two months since the search has begun, the competition has seen many creative and high-level trick shot submissions from participants around the globe. With such intense competition, ITTF Marketing Director, Steve DAINTON, believes the best is still out there: "There are unlimited possibilities to make a trick shot by thinking out of the box and using unbelievable props, not just with table tennis techniques, and this trick shot is still out there some where.I can't believe that we have not yet had one entry filmed outside! It does not have to be in a table tennis hall."
Table tennis enthusiasts now have 10 days remaining to send in their best and most creative trick shot to prove to the world that they are master of the best table tennis trick shot on earth.
All the videos from the STIGA 2014 ITTF Trick Shot Showdown are uploaded on ITTF's YouTube (YouTube.com/ITTFChannel) and Youku channels (http://www.edm.ittf.com/link.php?M=694&N=610&L=997&F=H), and the winner will be selected based on Public (60%) and Expert (40%) voting.
In addition to the title of owning the world's best trick shot, the winner will walk away with a once-in-a-lifetime all-expenses paid trip to the GAC Group 2014 ITTF World Tour Grand Finals in Bangkok, Thailand, rubbing shoulders with the top table tennis stars. They will also win US$4,000 and one-year STIGA Sponsorship.
The deadline for submitting your table tennis trick shot is 5 September 2014 0900 GMT, so get out your video camera or mobile phone, racket, ball, props and your wildest imagination and show us what you've got up your sleeve!
