The Canadian had also broken the record in the 100 butterflies.

Gymnastics defined the individual All Around and Canada won the men’s championship again after 60 years thanks to Felix Dolci. The podium was completed by the Brazilian Diego Soares and the American Donnell Whittenburg, while the other outstanding note was provided by the Dominican Audrys Nin Reyes when he qualified for Paris with his fifth place. Meanwhile, in women, gold went to the American Kayla Dicello when she surpassed the Brazilian Flavia Saraiva and the American Jordan Chiles (silver medal in Tokyo). The place at the Olympic Games went to the Colombian Luis Blanca (eighth).
