Sochi 2014 Suitcases Join Games Licensed Products Range

On June, 27 a new line of licensed suitcases featuring the symbols of the Games in Sochi has been introduced in Moscow. The visual images of the Games are used in their design including the patchwork quilt, and images of the Sochi 2014 mascots.

Buyers will be offered a choice of several options of suitcases for travel and leisure. They are being produced by a world leader in the manufacture of luggage items, Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee licensee Samsonite. Prices for licensed products start at 6,200 rubles. The cost of luggage covers does not exceed 1,990 rubles. The first bags featuring the symbols of the Games will go on sale in late June 2013.

Sochi 2014 Mascots Collection

Children's cases with the Olympic symbols are especially designed for the youngest travelers and will be great for a family leisure trip. The Olympic Games mascots including the Polar Bear, Hare and Leopard are featured on the surface of the case, and will be the pride of the owner.

The cases have two large compartments, a height-adjustable and retractable handle, and a convenient stand for stability.

The collection is available in Russia from October 2013 at the price of 6,200 rubles.

The "Sochi Classics" Collection

The "Sochi Classics" soft luggage collection is designed for convenience. Each suitcase is equipped with an external pocket for tickets and documents. Four wheels ensure that the suitcases are easily maneuvered and the lock guarantees your things are safe during the trips. The collection includes a 4-wheel suitcase you can take into airline cabins at just 20-cm deep.

The collection will be available in Russia starting in September 2013, ranging in price from 7,900 to 9,900 rubles.

The "Sochi Tunes" Collection

The vibrant "Sochi Tunes" hard luggage collection is highly durable. The suitcases are made from composite, guaranteeing high impact-resistance.

The bright design with symbols of the Sochi Olympic Games is protected with a glossy coat of varnish, helping to protect them from damage during transport. Each model is equipped with four wheels, a convenient extension handle and a built-in lock.

The collection will be available in Russia starting in September 2013, ranging in price from 8,900 to 10,900 rubles.

The "Sochi Journey" Collection

The "Sochi Journey" suitcase collection is designed especially for lovers of extreme sports and active recreation who care about the durability, lightness, and design of their luggage. Thanks to innovative materials similar to those used in the production of skates, skis, and surfboards, the models are incredibly durable and light. The 55-cm high 4-wheel suitcase weighs a mere 2 kg, and the 75-cm high 4-wheel suitcase—just 2.9 kg.

Each model is equipped with integrated handles, located on top and on the side, as well as a waterproof zip and lock. The wheels are suitable for any surface, and the robust interior allows for extremely convenient packing.

The collection is available in Russia starting from June 2013 for 19,000-26,900 rubles.

Suitcase Covers

"Sochi 2014 Collection" suitcase covers go with most of the 2-wheel and 4-wheel suitcases between 65 and 78 cm high. They protect the suitcases from dirt and minor damage and make it easily recognizable on the luggage carousel. The line includes four quilted covers as well as a model showing Luchik and Snezhinka, the mascots of the Paralympic Games. The covers can be easily washed and can transform any suitcase in seconds.

The collection is available in Russia starting in June 2013 for 1,990 rubles.
