Yu-na KIM, 2009Figure Skating World Champion, was appointed as Honorary Ambassadorfor PyeongChang’s bid for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic WinterGames. The office of Gangwon Province, where PyeongChang is located,announced that she would be the 1st Honorary Ambassador forPyeongChang 2018.
South Korea’s figure syndrome KIM also workedwith the PyeongChang 2014 Bid Committee. She will actively engage inmany promotional events for PyeongChang 2018.
Newly namedAmbassador KIM said; “I sincerely hope, this time, PyeongChang winsthe honor of hosting the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Ithink the best way to promote PyeongChang is to have good results ininternational events, not to mention the Vancouver 2010 OlympicWinter Games. I will surely do my best to get the best performance.”
