
(ATR) The inaugural CLIO Sports Awards will take place Thursday, July 17th in New York City.
The awards celebrate creative excellence in sports marketing. Under Armour will receive the Brand Innovation Award for their leading product designs and memorable advertising campaigns.
Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic, hosts of ESPN Radio’s Mike and Mike in the Morning, will host the ceremony. Other notable guests include Rutledge Wood, host of History Channel’s Top Gear; Lisa Baird, CMO of the U.S. Olympic Committee; and NFL player Donte Stallworth. The after-party will feature a performance by Travie McCoy, the lead vocalist of Gym Class Heroes.

IWG World Conference on Women and Sport
The International Working Group on Women and Sport is looking for a second chairperson for the 2014-2018 term.
The chairperson will work alongsideRuth Maphorisa, the chairperson for the 7th IWG World Conference on Women and Sport in 2018. The new chairperson will work in Gabaronne, Botswana, the site of the 7th IWG World Conference.
Deadline for the application is August 31.
The new chairperson will be announced on September 30 and is expected to begin work on January 1, 2015 through four months after the 7th IWG Conference.

Hamburg will host the 2014 SPONSORs Sports Venue Summit on September 17th-18th, 2014.
Simon Clegg, chief operating officer of Baku 2015, will deliver a presentation on the location, scheduling, venues, and cost of the 2015 European Games. Soccerex Americas Forum
The first ever Soccerex Americas Forum will take place on October 21-22 in Barbados.
Soccerex announced the event in coordination with the Barbados Tourism Authority.
Jeffrey Webb, president of CONCACAF, will deliver the opening remarks for the conference. He heads FIFA's Anti-Racism and Discrimination Task Force.
"With three distinct regions within CONCACAF, the Soccerex Americas Forum will play an important role in uniting our member federations and encouraging international cooperation and business development across all of the great cities of our three regions," Webb saidin a statement.
Topics on the agenda include league development, player development, and retention and sport tourism. The 2016 Copa America in the U.S. and a potential CONCACAF 2026 World Cup bid will also be discussed at the conference.

City Events Conference in Paris
City Events announced the dateand location for its fifth conference.
The conference will take place on November 13-14 in Paris with the theme, "Winning strategies for hosting sporting events."
A call for conference proposals has been put out by City Events. Last year, the conference chose 3 of 20 proposals to speak at the conference. Proposals should be tailored to a presentation that would fit under the 2014 theme, and "a bit of detail about their current situation and past experience pertaining to hosting sporting events."
Submissions are due before July 1 toPierre-Emmanuel Dangerat City Events.
City Events will also partner with the Arenas Economic Forum on September 4-5 in Paris. Details for that event can be foundhere.

Host Cities Summit
The Host Cities Summit will be held in on November 25th-27th in Dubai, United Emirates.
The three-day conference will focus on successful bidding strategies for sporting events, and hosting events in a way to leave a positive economic and social legacy. Masters classes, panel discussions, and keynote speakers have been planned for the duration of the conference, and eighteen guest speakers from host nations, ministries of tourism and sport, and organizing committees will partake in the discussions.
