
Beer Provider for Sochi Olympics
Sochi 2014 has its official beer supplier: Baltika Breweries.
Baltika, which is owned by the Carlsberg Group, owns 10 breweries across Russia and has a market share of 37.8 percent.
"Sochi 2014 has been attracting more and more top-class Russian and international companies, and this latest agreement is further evidence of the remarkable success of our marketing program," said Dmitry Chernyshenko, Sochi 2014’s president and CEO.
Baltika joins a number of partners and suppliers for the Winter Olympics including the airline company Aeroflot, Bosco Sport and Volkswagen Group Rus.
Chinese Olympic Committee Inks Logistics Supplier
Sinotrans Group is the official logistics service provider of the Chinese Olympic Committee.
The agreement spans the next four years and will include the London Olympics in 2012 and the Sochi Winter Olympics in 2014.
According to China Daily, Ma Jilong, director of the COC marketing department, said the partnership will "provide strong support for Chinese athletes so that they can pay full attention to training and competition."
Sinotrans has supported many international sporting events including the Beijing Asian Games in 1990 and the 2008 Olympics.
Snowboarder Represents L.L. Bean
Two-time Olympic gold medalist Seth Wescott will serve as a brand ambassador for L.L. Bean over the next three years.
Through the multiyear partnership, the snowboarder will also work with the company’s product developers on new designs and will test new outerwear products.
He will also take part in L.L. Bean’s 100th anniversary plans that will encourage people to enjoy activities outdoors.
