In addition to continuing to increase in popularity, cryptocurrencies are progressing in the market as they begin to be accepted as a payment method. Now, with a recent alliance, it will be possible to make purchases inside the Tigres stadium or buy tickets for their matches.

Since last November, it was reported that Club Tigres and Bitso had formed a coalition, which this April is gaining strength with the addition of new alliances that allow purchases with cryptocurrencies. Bitso joined Boletomóvil and Bitpay.

Fans who have crypto with Bitso can now buy their tickets for upcoming matches, such as Tigres-America which will be next April 23 at the Estadio Universitario.

“Our commitment is to make cryptocurrencies useful for all people,” said Daniel Vogel, Bitso Co-Founder and CEO. “We love this agreement between Bitso and Boletomóvil that will allow the daily use of cryptocurrencies for our customers at Club Tigres sporting events, thus extending its use as a payment method for any type of event.”

With all these alliances they seek to develop new opportunities for cryptocurrencies. While Bitso is a crypto platform with more than 4 million users, Bitpaty is an experienced platform in the process of Bitcoin payments, in addition, it allows you to transfer and convert cryptocurrency into any other current currency instantly.

Thus, between these two, it seeks to revolutionize the way cryptocurrency payments are made, and with which Bitso collaborates as a liquidity provider to do the process with Club Tigres and other brands.

A case worth noting in the field is that Tigres Femenil was the first team in Mexico to carry out a cryptocurrency transaction to sell player Stefany Ferrer to the US team Angel City FC.

“Since we announced our partnership with Bitso we talked about the possibility of exploring new opportunities for the Club, and today came the day to continue growing together. At the time we already made the first transfer in women's football through cryptocurrencies and now we give our fans the opportunity to buy tickets to access matches through this platform,” said the president of Tigres.

It should be remembered that Bitso is a sponsor of the Mexican National Team and points out that the goal is for cryptocurrencies to allow Mexican football to “prosper” in a global digital economy.

Something similar happened recently with the Colombian delivery platform Rappi. In a statement, he detailed that Mexico will be the first market where Rappi will start exploring payment options through digital currencies. This pilot phase is being developed in partnership with Bitso and Bitpay.

“In this first phase, we decided to build a product that allows our consumers to connect their digital wallets and exchange accounts to convert crypto currencies into Rappi credits and thus access all the products available within the platform.

“For our crypto allies it represents the opportunity for millions of users to use this solution to buy from Rappi. It is a first approach that will allow us to learn and continue to incorporate the crypto world into Rappi,” said Sebastián Mejia, Co-Founder and President of Rappi.

For now, this option launched as a pilot is only available to users in the Mexico region, who will be able to pay with cryptocurrencies for Rappi credits, which can then be spent on any of the products and services offered by the application. It is possible that if they succeed in the pilot phase, the modality will be extended to other countries.
