Youtuber Jorge Luis “L”, known as Compa Jorg, was gunned down by gunmen on Monday, April 18 when he was outside his home located in Guadalupe Victoria neighborhood in Culiacán, Sinaloa.
Jorge Luis “L” had attended a bank branch just before he was executed, he announced this through his Instagram account, in which he has just under 30,000 followers.
“What a show my people, happy start to the week for everyone! We are over the holidays for which we were able to have a vacation, and now we are, chin**le. Here I come to account for the banks to see how much line there is. Plebes blessings, nice day for all”, said the youtuber around one o'clock in the afternoon.
About 45 minutes after announcing that he was going to the bank branch, at 1:45 in the afternoon, Compa Jorge was gunned down outside his home located on Gilberto Owen Street, between Juan Ruiz de Alarcón and José Vasconcelos streets; a site that is two blocks from the 9th Military Zone of Culiacán.
According to witnesses who witnessed the events, armed subjects arrived at the scene in a gray Toyota SUV-type car of recent model, to subsequently intercept the subject and fire repeatedly at him.
The assailants fled in an unknown direction in the same vehicle, while emergency personnel went to the site of the attack to treat Compa Jorge, who had several gunshot wounds, and was transferred to a rehabilitation clinic located on Francisco I. Madero Street in the Las Vegas neighborhood.
Despite efforts made to try to save the life of the 35-year-old man, injuries caused by gunshot wounds caused him to die while in the ambulance, so doctors who received him at the clinic confirmed his death.
