
Yesterday, the death of former Colombia national team player, Freddy Rincón, 55, was confirmed after suffering a car accident in the early hours of last Monday in Cali when he collided with a bus of the MIO mass transit system.
The departure of the Colossus of Buenaventura has not only shocked the country but the whole world that from different sectors have lamented the death of the former Independiente player Santa Fe and America de Cali.
Both teammates and coaches who had the opportunity to lead him in their respective clubs where he passed, expressed their grief at the death of Freddy Rincón who leaves a legacy that will keep him alive forever.
Personalities such as; Jorge Luis Pinto, Sergio 'Checho' Angulo, Carlos 'El Pibe' Valderrama, René Higuita among others did not hide their sadness at the emptiness left by Freddy Rincón's absence.

One of those who also had words about the death of Freddy Rincón, is the current Costa Rican coach, Luis Fernando Suárez, who was a guest on the special about the former footballer on the Win Sports channel.
First, the former Barranquilla Junior coach told the advice he gave to Freddy Rincón when both took important directions in their professional careers.
He also talked about what it was like to have faced the former Real Madrid player where he admitted that it was very difficult to stop him on the pitch.
Similarly, Luis Fernando Suárez highlighted the role that Freddy Rincón played for Colombian football in the 1990s as well as in the national team.
When asked about Rincón's role as a football commentator, the former Atlético Nacional coach stressed the former player's ability to give his concepts as he had sufficient knowledge due to his experience as a footballer.
