The bill that would allow contributors to an AFP to withdraw up to 4ITU their savings from the pension fund continues to advance. As is recalled, this Tuesday, April 12, it was debated and after a brief vote it was deliberated that this initiative should be presented to the plenary of the Congress.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE 4ITU WITHDRAWAL FROM AFP
It is important to know that this proposal would allow 18,400 soles to be disbursed. However, this legislative initiative, proposed by Congressman José Luna Gálvez of the Podemos Peru party, does place certain restrictions on retirement requirements.
In this case, the withdrawal of up to S/ 18,400 is raised for members who have not made contributions for at least three consecutive months.
However, participants who do register contributions would only have the possibility of withdrawing up to 2 ITU, equal to S/ 9,200.
It should be mentioned that if this measure is approved by the Legislature, then 1 ITU (S/4,600) would be delivered progressively every 30 calendar days, with the first payment starting 30 days after the application was submitted to AFP.
SINCE WHEN CAN THE 4UIT BE WITHDRAWN FROM MY AFP
It is worth mentioning that in 2020 and 2021 some deliveries of AFP's savings were already made. At that time, the congress agreed to this action to defuse the impact of the pandemic on the country and on the pockets of Peruvians.
At that time, the initial measure indicated that the disbursement would be made in three parts and every 30 days. Now, we would wait for the Congress of the Republic to be able to debate in plenary these new ways of how the disbursement will be distributed and to know what the mechanism would be like for contributors to access their money.

At the end, the SBS application will show you the AFP you contribute to and the type of commission you are charged.
